One can describe Clyde’s way of walking as having a little too much to drink or being tipsy. Clyde’s future mom was on the website petfinder.com looking for a special needs dog when she found Clyde’s picture. He looked like a little bear, and his ears were adorable.
Clyde’s future mom could not get those ears off her mind and decided to adopt Clyde. He was just the cutest thing with those ears of his. Clyde’s walk was very wobbly.
They found out that he has a brain condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia where the Cerebellar part of the brain shuts down the motor skills of the dog. She never walks straight, and he would always be leaning to his side. The family would need to assist him in holding up when he walks.
The brain condition does not cause any pain, and it is purely neurological. But this does not stop Clyde from trying. He would always work hard to get on his feet. When he falls, he stands back up again and walks. He does not even know that he is different from other dogs.
He never gets frustrated with himself, and he keeps going. He also loves going to the park. The park is his favorite place where he enjoys playing with his friends. He even hates leaving his friends where he whines when they go home.
Even when he does not have any energy left to walk, he would still whine when he knows they are leaving his friends. Clyde’s mother is so proud of him and said that people could learn from Clyde’s perseverance.
One should keep getting up and keep going. Never let your circumstance hinder you from doing what you love to do. That’s what Clyde can teach everyone with his story.
